a duncan wedding.

66 x 66 (2026)

About 4 months postpartum with Solly, I decided I wanted to dust off my tennis racket after almost 12 years of putting it away in its sad little corner of the laundry room. I started out with a few clinics and connected with some wonderful friends from church who suggested I play in the local USTA league here in Tupelo. What a wonderful year of tennis that was before needing to take yet another break to support another pregnancy! During the spring league, I met Hollie who at the time, was dating Mikey. We all quickly became friends and fast forward to now, they are recent newlyweds. It's always a blessing to witness a friendship blossom into something more and to encourage such devotion with, you guessed it, a quilt!

Mikey was doing some electrical work at our house one day and we somehow started designing a quilt for their wedding, all kept secret from Hollie, which was so hard to do. We decided on the Irish chain pattern for its beautiful nod to traditional handiwork and I couldn't resist using Fableism's linen blends in pink for Hollie and red for Mikey. As a first, the kids and I got to make a quilt delivery (which they were so excited about) at the tennis courts to surprise Hollie. Cheers to many, many years Duncan's and have a beautiful, blessed marriage!
